Hevolution and Vision 2030: Fostering Healthspan with Storytelling

Live longer at any cost, or fewer years in good health? That’s the one question that guided everything at Hevolution, from the mission to the editorial strategy.

Healthcare is undergoing a global transformation, with countries everywhere seeking to extend healthy life expectancy (healthspan). Extending healthspan is critical not only for improving quality of life but also for reducing the economic and social burden of chronic disease. In Saudi Arabia, this priority is embedded in Vision 2030’s Vibrant Society KPIs, which set a national goal of raising average life expectancy from 74 years to 80 years by 2030.

Hevolution Foundation plays a leading role in advancing healthspan science and innovation to achieve these goals while contributing to global efforts in extending healthy human lifespan and understanding aging.

Led by Thana Asaad, UK Partner and Director at KlarCX, the collaboration focused on an editorial-by-design strategy that made complex science accessible, engaging, and globally impactful. This story highlights how Hevolution built credibility and reach through research-based storytelling that engaged millions across the healthspan ecosystem.


From Closed Labs to Public Voice

Hevolution, a non-profit dedicated to catalyzing healthspan science, faced a challenge: how to turn complex research into accessible, engaging narratives. Thana worked alongside Hevolution and VaynerMedia cross-functional teams to craft an editorial strategy by:

  • Developing the foundation’s tone of voice and messaging framework from the ground up
  • Leading content strategy across social media, web, and editorial channels
  • Supporting Hevolution’s positioning as a thought leader in healthspan through long-form articles
  • Building strategic partnerships with grantees, researchers, and ecosystem leaders to amplify Hevolution’s voice
  • Curating editorial activations and storytelling around the Global Healthspan Summit (2023 and 2025), positioning the event as a cornerstone of Hevolution’s voice
  • Co-directing the documentary pilot MindWalk: Redefining Aging (London, launching late 2025), translating pioneering research into a compelling, human-centered narrative for a global audience

This editorial approach ensured that every article, post, and video felt human, evidence-based, and relevant.

Repurposing Content for Greater Reach & Resonance

A key part of the strategy was content repurposing. Instead of treating each piece of content as a standalone effort, Thana helped design a system that adapted material for different formats and channels. A single panel discussion became an article, short-form videos, and carousel posts, building understanding without fatigue.

This approach extended the life of content, reduced costs, and maximized engagement.


Elevating Space-bound Events into Global Participation

At the 2025 Global Healthspan Summit in Riyadh, Hevolution transformed event coverage into an editorial-by-design, social-first experience that enabled global participation, not just on-stage talk. Thana supported with:

  • Briefing and directing regional and international teams of content creators, copywriters, and speakers
  • Producing speaker-led, social-first video content from live sessions
  • Capturing and producing highlight moments, key takeaways, and audience participation
  • Designing a social-activation conversation series featuring multidisciplinary experts, inviting public engagement and closing understanding gaps

The result was a summit that lived far beyond the event itself, strengthening Hevolution’s reputation as a global voice in healthspan.

Driving Engagement Through Strategy and Optimization

In 2024 alone, Hevolution produced more than 1,000 content pieces. But volume without direction rarely leads to impact. By combining behavioral framing, storytelling, and audience insights, the team achieved:

  • 54.5 million generated impressions
  • 2 million+ engagements across platforms
  • 11.4% organic engagement rate, outperforming sector benchmarks

Hevolution even surpassed leading institutions like the Wellcome Trust and Insilico Medicine on LinkedIn, becoming the top-performing page in its landscape.

With Thana leading for KlarCX, this partnership became a standout project for reach and resonance. In Hevolution’s words:
